Jazz

This piece, entitled Jazz, was created by Elizabeth Murray in 2001. This piece is a 3-dimensional lithograph. I chose this piece because I like Murray's use of shapes and bright colors. Although all Murray's pieces contain this, I especially enjoyed this piece because of its interesting alignment. I also like Murray's use of cross hatching in the background of the piece. This cross hatching in pink stands out nicely against the rest of the blue background. I also like Murray's use of mostly yellow, pink, and blue.
