Rooftops in the snow

French artist Gustave Caillebotte painted fascinating scenes of everyday Parisian life in a style melding Realism and Impressionism. This painting is called rooftops in the snow and was created in 1878.  I thought this would be appropriate because winter is coming and it has recently been snowing.  It is also similar to our project of the villa because of the detail and preciseness of the roofing, windows and chimneys.  I also liked that the snow on the rooftops is the most prominent in this painting.
