The Last Judgement

The Last Judgement
A friend of mine who was at one time an art history major showed me this Michelangelo's fresco, The Last Judgement. What really drew me to this fresco was the story behind it.
The funniest thing that happened while Michelangelo worked on this fresco was the comment from the papal Master of Ceremonies, Biagio da Cesena. He expressed that he didn't like the fresco at all and that it made the chapel look like a bath house because of the nudity. To retaliate, Michelangelo painted his face on Minos and gave him donkey ears and a snake biting him in a certain area. The fact that Biago complained to the Pope, and that the Pope made a joke about not being able to help anyone in hell makes it funnier.
