This is "Tools and Dreams" created by Jim Dine. This work was created in 1985, the medium being etching and dry point on paper. I have always loved Jim Dine's work, especially his use of hearts and ordinary tools. I like his use of contrast, going from black to white and everything in between. I also like his use of different textures, such as cross hatching and line width. Although I enjoy this piece, I usually prefer Dine's more colorful works.
